Not enough...

Well, as most of you know, I haven't posted anything in over a week. But that's what happens when you are trying to get into a new routine. Both of my children are in school this year and we have some other factors that are new in our lives that have made scheduling a bit challenging. Let me give you an example of a school day in our house.

5:00 am Eddie wakes up and starts getting ready for work
6:00 am Eddie leaves to meet up w/ his carpooling partner and he also wakes me up. I make up our bed and get ready (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday for work)
6:30 am I wake up Lincoln and Maggie's alarm clock goes off and she gets up. We make up beds, get dressed and get down stairs to eat breakfast
(the night before clothes have been laid out and ironed and lunches have
been packed)
7:15 am We are out the door on the way to Northfield Elementary to take Lincoln to Kindergarten and then on the way to Siegel Middle School to take Maggie
7:45 am I am on the way to Belle Aire Baptist Weekday school on Tuesdays & Thursdays Wednesdays I go to the church to work on music stuff until a 10:00 staff meeting.

On the days I work at the preschool and church I leave there about 1:35 in order to pick up Lincoln by 1:45. We go home and relax for about an hour and then we pick up Maggie at 3:15.

On Mondays and Fridays, it's not quite as hectic, but close. But if anybody knows me very well, I like to be busy with a day here and there to catch my breath. Looks like I got my wish.

The fall is already looking to be busy. Maggie & Lincoln signed up for soccer today and will play until the end of October. In addition to that, Maggie will be in the school choir and will have after school rehearsals beginning in a few weeks. What would life be like without children? I'll never know and don't think I would like to.

Have a great Sunday and maybe I can find more time to blog next week. We'll see...

It is a challenge having a schedule to keep with kids, but I believe our kids are a blessing and God has placed them in our care for only a short time of their lives - we must make it the best that it can be, and always with His help. May God grant us the ability to find rest at the "12 springs and 70 palms". Love you.
