Just simple faith...

Today my heart is full of joy!!! Last night Lincoln completed the plan of salvation by being baptized. What made it even more exciting is the fact that he asked my father to baptize him and he wanted Bro. DePriest to pray for him. What a cool thing.

In Matthew 18, Jesus explains to his disciples 'who the greatest in the kingdom' is. He says, "...except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." I always want to be as a little child with simple faith and an uncluttered heart that believes whatever Jesus says is all there is to it.

We thought that after shopping for school clothes and supplies this past weekend that we were ready for school to start. But now we know that he's truly ready for school. I know he's still a five year old little boy with lots of growing up to do and many punishments are probably ahead, but I can already tell a difference in him. Maybe only a difference a Mom notices, but that's good enough for me. Just simple faith...

It was truly a beautiful night. I'm like you, I feel much better about his attending school with having made this important step in his life. God's blessings will always be upon Lincoln. We are so blessed.
